Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been drawing/creating art?

I have been drawing and creating art for as long as I can remember. When I was very young I took classes at my local library and even participated in some arts and crafts workshops at my local park.

Do you freehand or...?

For a long time I have drawn freehand, however as of late I have become used to using the grid technique as it saves me a lot time... and tears. However, I cannot stress enough the importance of learning how to draw as it is key in building your visual sense.

Who taught you how to do that?

Practice and online tutorials have helped me greatly throughout the years. However, now that I am in college and enrolled in a Fine Arts program, I am learning a variety of new techniques and application methods thanks to my lovely professors.

Why do you do what you do?

I draw portraits simply because they make me happy. It is my way of showing my support and adoration for those that I respect. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing the person I admire come to life before my eyes! Incorporating fantasy into my work is my way of showing passion towards the genre as a whole. I love creating different creatures that are not from this world and giving them soul.

How do you work?

I enjoy listening to music and working on my pieces in solitude. Atmosphere has a big influence on my artwork, therefore being situated in a workspace to my liking will prove to be beneficial. Generally, I will either listen to KPOP/POP or Trance/Ambient music, depending on what melodies best suit the project I am working on.

What is your dream project?

Dream project, huh? Let’s say that I am a REALLY talented oil painter...let’s also say that I am REALLY confident in doing large scale pieces. Now, let’s take those two and pair it with a portrait of Moon Jongup from B.A.P. Magnificent! A girl can dream. For now i'll just keep practicing. :)
